Since this is the official website of the Serial Killer Calendar , we feel it is appropriate to include a detailed list of every historical events dealing with these killers. In this section, you can select any date of the year from the list on the left to find out exactly what happened on that day in serial killer history. Whether it is a killer's birthday, an execution, a murder or any other major event, you will find it here. Understand that this is a massive, on-going project and the staff of Serialkillercalendar.com will continuously add to the list of events that appear here. If you know of any event that is missing from this section, please contact us and (after our staff checks it for accuracy) we will be happy to include it on our site. March 4, 1965 - Edmund Kemper
On March 4, a couple of hikers came across a human skull and jawbone not far from Highway 1 in San Mateo County . They were not from the same person. The police searched the area and found another skull that went with the jawbone, so they knew they had a pair of victims killed close together. They had reports of several missing female hitchhikers, so they compared what they had to the descriptions, and identified the remains of Rosalind Thorpe and Alice Liu. Liu had been shot twice in the head, Thorpe once. It was not long thereafter that the university decided to institute a bus system that would assist off-campus students to get safely to their classes. March 4, 1986 - Ted Bundy
Ted Bundy's execution date was initially scheduled for March 4, 1986. However, his execution was postponed while his new defense attorney, Polly Nelson, worked on his appeals for his previous murder convictions. Two months later the appeal was denied and another death warrant was issued to Ted by the State of Florida . Still, the appeal process continued. According to Polly Nelson's book Defending the Devil, the last appeal was made to the U.S. Supreme Court, who eventually denied Ted's last stay of execution on January 17, 1989.
