Since this is the official website of the Serial Killer Calendar , we feel it is appropriate to include a detailed list of every historical events dealing with these killers. In this section, you can select any date of the year from the list on the left to find out exactly what happened on that day in serial killer history. Whether it is a killer's birthday, an execution, a murder or any other major event, you will find it here. Understand that this is a massive, on-going project and the staff of Serialkillercalendar.com will continuously add to the list of events that appear here. January 7, 1896 - Joe Ball
Serial killer Joe Ball is born. Joe Ball decided on a career as a bootlegger, over working in a legitimate family business, after he graduated from the University of Texas. By the late 1920s he was the owner of the Sociable Inn, a saloon located near Elmendorf, Texas. In the course of several years Mr. Ball killed many people and fed his victims remains to the alligators he kept out back of his bar. |

January 7 , 1973 - Edmund Kemper
He purchased a .22-caliber pistol and then looked for a pretty hitchhiker. The one he found was named Cindy Schall, who accepted a ride with him on January 7, 1973. Again, he drove to a secluded area and shot her quickly. He wasn't interested in torture. He just wanted a body to handle. He was now living with his mother again, and he took the corpse home to dismember her in the bathtub. He kept her overnight in his room and then beheaded her, burying the head in the backyard. He threw the body parts over a cliff, but they quickly washed up onto the beach. Still, he knew they could not tie it to him. He'd removed the bullet from the head. And he was right. January 7, 1980 - Ted Bundy
After many delays, the Leach trial began in Orlando , Florida at the Orange County Courthouse on January 7, 1980. This time Ted Bundy decided not to represent himself, instead handing over the responsibility to defense attorneys Julius Africano and Lynn Thompson.
